Got my Hazmat & Twic Card!

You are suppose to get a discount on the twic if you have haz-mat. Each state varies on cost of hazmat I dropped mine when it was 130 bucks to get.

 

He did get a discount. If you do not have hazmat... then your TWIC costs $132.50

 

I have my twic, just don't remember what I paid for it.

 

That's good... Cause I heard that "That" company wants the driver's to get it. I also heard that some military bases are going to start requiring sometime in the future.

 

Yeah my buddy that is over there does not have his yet and he said they have some good paying loads with it.

 

I got mine over a year ago & have never really used it. I went into the ports of Chesapeake & they asked if I had it. Of course I said yes & was getting ready to pull it out of my wallet when they told me that they didn't need to see it... They just want to know if I had it.

 

Same here. I been asked for it, I ran ports all over, but none asked to see it. Or checked my thumb print.

 

I even tried to use my TWIC card as a second ID at banks & places like that... They don't even want to see! Come on now... It's a government issued ID that I paid $132.50 for... Will someone please look at it!

 

I was somewhere recently that needed a second picture ID. They would not accept it either..... I said I had to have a goverment background check and to be finger printed for this stupid thing.... My wife ended up digging out a second picture ID......
