I'm trying to find some good truck stops in the Bay Area. I run along most of the major Interstates and would like to find some places with good food, and a place to relax for a few minutes. Any thoughts would be helpful. Done with drive-throughs! ThanksA

Guess you don't get over there much.
Due to all the tree hugging nimby's there aren't really trk stops in the bay area. Just small fuel stops, which may or may not having parking. And nothing but fast food if anything.
Your best bet if your headed west on I-80 out of Sacramento, is hang at the 49'er truck stop at W. El Camino.
Full serv tk stop, paid park if you don't get 75 gallons or more. First two hrs free.
There are a couple of other fuel stops west of there with dirt lots for parking and food choices are slim. -
Heading south on i-880 exit 36 make a left and then the 1st and on the right side by the gas station is the oakland truck stop. It's not a big truck stop bug it's full a lot of you'll have a lot of room there.

Something doesn't ring true here...you looking for some place to jump a trucker, or trying to find a place to get a jump on the load he/she is hauling?
Everyone, this doesn't sound kosher to me..steer clear IMHO!drvrtech77 Thanks this. -

However suspicious the original posting seemed, I *DO* live in SF and I *AM* stressing severely over how the %&*@ to park anywhere NEAR where I live. Is that big lot behind the SF Oakland Truck Stop you pointed out available? I looked it up on Google Maps and saw the dirt lot with trucks in it, but they look like they've been parked for 30 years, which makes me think it's not actually open to drivers? (Then again, it looks like some of those junky container haulers might be parking there...)

Ripon, 49'er, Lodi, or Gilroy, those are your choices for half decent truckstops in the bay area.
You can park on the street under the Bart tracks at the Oakland truckstop, and see all sorts of wildlife all night long. -
Petaluma Blvd. So. off ramp from the 101 fwy north of S.F. has/had truck parking in '06, last time I was thru there. There's also a little fuel stop in So. S.F. off the 101 fwy with minimal truck parking, just can't remember the off ramp, sorry. I've made boo-coo pick-ups in and around the Bay area with street parking in industrial areas too.
