    Never worked for them, just Googled Waste companies in Charlotte, NC. They handle a lot of different stuff, which looks like it might be what you are looking for.

    Republic's all over NC... so is Waste Management. There are smaller companies, as well, but I don't know what they are in the Charlotte area... I lived closer to Raleigh.
    What are you looking to get into, exactly? Household waste, scrap materials, construction & demolition waste, ....?
