I see a lot of JB hunt carriers, Southeastern freightliners, and flat bed companies all over here in Marietta, south cobb area. I've talked to a few drivers and gotten some info on salary, loads, etc. Recently learned from a JB Hunt driver of home depot laying a lot of drivers off, and warehouse workers also. Sounds like competition is getting tight and they're making sacrifices, but as strong as home depot is that's weird. I've had my class A commercial license, for over 10 ten yrs, tankers and hazmat endorsements also. Have been driving for local county only as we haul equipment for utility water work. The average driver from who those I've spoken with brings home between 15 hundred, and 2k weekly, which is half the work days compared to my biweekly rate.

I doubt any JB Hunt local driver brings home $1500-$2000/wk. Maybe a road driver. LTL is where the best pay is for local, or fuel, or some other specialized.
