I am seeking opportunities in the tanking division, ideally with a company that offers both OTR and regional routes. I have two years of OTR experience and am eager to explore new possibilities. While I value my current position, I am interested in joining a company that provides more than one division and offers cross-border travel, particularly to Canada. I firmly believe in the importance of a family-oriented company culture and value a positive relationship between drivers and dispatch.
My professional development goals include obtaining my hazmat endorsement, doubles/triples endorsement, passport, and TWIC card before the end of the year. I am committed to my current company and will not consider moving to another unless absolutely necessary.
I am seeking a tanking company that offers OTR/regional options, provides competitive pay and benefits, respects home time, and has a pet/rider-friendly policy. I am excited about the opportunity to explore new opportunities and set myself up for a rewarding and prosperous future in the transportation industry.
So I would love to know about any good/ solid ones that comes to mind...preferably experience. So far I've been heavily looking into IRT (Indian River Transport) and Caledonia Haulers because of how they run. I love the southern runs especially lanes going through Georgia and Louisiana. I just wondered if there were anymore. I do hate gatekeepers..please spill!! Lol![]()

You will be hard-pressed to find tanker fleets that are pet friendly.
With that said -- you might look into the following:
- FoodLiner
- Andrews Logistics (not food-grade, but will use your hazmat more)
- IRT is a good possibility, as you've said
- ADM (Archer Daniels Midland; it's a private fleet)

Whats so crazy, I remembered seeing you stating this about Oakley! I see them so much out here! You prefer Foodliner over Oakley? I appreciate you! -
Pets are not a thing in the hazmat, and food grade world. Most chemical haulers require you to be clean shaven due to the needs of wearing full face respirators. You’d be shocked to see all the window lickers who can’t seem to grasp that and refuse to shave even though they haul chemicals that can kill you.
nextgentrucker, scythe08, tscottme and 2 others Thank this. -
=(, I'm seeing not many options with pets in tanking. Especially hauling chemicals which is the very reason I'm not ready to haul chemicals or hazardous materials yet. Being over the road with my furrbaby makes the job so much easier to tolerate while traveling all those miles and less time home. -
Try ETC -- Early Trucking Company....of Arlington, Ga.
They have a tanker fleet that is food-grade.
Not sure what the tanker pet policy is -- call & ask.

IRT allows pets. Best to contact them to see if there are any size restrictions deposit required.
