    Hey everyone,

Let me start with some background information. I'm 22 years old and a recent college graduate with a BS in Economics. I landed a decent job right right out of college but I absolutely cannot stand sitting at a desk inside staring at a computer all day. I have my Class A CDL and have always wanted to drive a truck as I spent my early childhood riding with my dad. I am seriously considering taking the plunge. The problem I am having is finding a good flatbed company that hires people with no experience and hires out of Florida. Like I mentioned earlier, I have a decent job and this isn't something I have to do, so I would like to find a good company that gives good home time and pay. I looked at Maverick and TMC and neither of them hire in Florida according to their websites. If anyone has a recommendation I would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to PM me if you'd like. Thanks in advance.

-Looking for a flatbed company with good home time and pay that hires from Florida

Tmc does but with no experiance id contact your local school and do a refresher coarse. Tmc has alot of freight out of northern Florida. Dont always go NY websites you need to mske phonecalls or email.

Cypress is in Jacksonville, and has a terminal in Tampa, but you gotta have 6mnths of tractor trailer. They'll train ya for the flatbed securement. Doubt hometime is great. Not too many OTR companies in Florida that'll get you home every week for more then two days. A few will get ya home for three days after three Weeks.

No not current info...I just threw out all of my old recruiting info...Very dated.....But they have a website and you can just go into the nearest terminal...And talk to the boss....Where are you trying to run out of?

It will pay you to actually show up at the terminal and let the boss see you a time or two....Often you will hear that old line ..''We aren't hireing any drivers right now...(I did)....But drivers quit and move on all of the time....

actually for CCC, CT, WSE, CTL you have to call recruiting and then you go to them to fill out an application.. they're located off of Bridgers Rd in Auburndale, Fl.. They'll place you from there depending on what you want, but they'll really try to get you to go where they need drivers the most... I tried to go to CCC before i went over to Knight, they wanted me to train for another six months just to drive a dry van.. I told them i couldn't do it.

    SHC Thanks this.
