Hi, I got my CDL about 6 months ago, but I'm just now looking for a job. Needless to say I'm a bit rusty. What are some good companies that will take new drivers from Florida, give you a lot of training, decent miles per week, and won't ask you for copies of every W2 or proof of employment from your previous employers(had that experience with one recruiter). Thanks a bunch!

Florida Beauty Express in Miami.
Big paychecks. One new cdl grad posted his first week paycheck was $1700.00
Run Miami to California every week or run the big triangle; Miami to California to New York & back to Miami.
Nice benefit of taking as much time off as you want between runs without fear of losing your job.
@Gin86 said she clocked a Florida Beauty Express truck last week running 80 mph. I wouldn't mention that though if you apply there.Last edited: Mar 22, 2018
Jazzy_J Thanks this. -

Thank you Chinatown, I really appreciate it! That sounds like a great first check! I'm about 200 miles north of Miami in the Cocoa Beach area. Do they give you a fair bit of training?

Florida Beauty Express, lots of training running as a team. They have some solo runs though, I understand.

If that doesn't work out, try MCT Transportation in Sanford. Their orientation is held in Auburndale.
Jazzy_J Thanks this. -
Just thought of another one, but don't know if it's a good outfit or not.
Vero Logistics in Margate. They do hire new cdl grads.

Monterey Boats in Williston is another you can check.
I did that for a year or so hauling for Pro-Craft running 48 states. I trained for about a month for boat hauling.Last edited: Mar 22, 2018

MCT website still shows orientation in Auburndale, but that may be out of date. Thanks for the info though. -

- Advanced Driver Training Program (ADTP): Friday-Monday, $71.43/day immediately following orientation
- Driver training for 7,500 to 10,000 miles (average 4 weeks out) paid at a flat rate of $500 Per Week
