Looking for a good company around central TX? Class A Driver with x endorsement. 6 years of experience. Primarily pulling tankers in the oilfield I enjoyed it made good money but I had to relocate back around my home town. Since I've been home I've had difficulty finding a good job. Last year I ran through 3 companies in a short time (Co#1 I had a 3hr round trip to work and home. I was hired on for a drop and hook account that took 10 hrs to complete. Easy money!! I enjoyed it! Unfortunately the company's buisness needs changed and I had to start doing live unload out of state. That account took 14hrs a day not really sustainable with my commute I had another job offer paying the same so I took it. Co#2 wtf did I get myself into??!! I was paid hourly my checks were 20hrs short the whole month I was there. The equipment would not pass d.o.t inspections and were unsafe to drive. Drivers were told were not allowed to have our phones and if we stopped at a store for any reason we would be automatically terminated. Not my kind of environment so I quit. Co#3 It's on me I knew there reputation! I quit after orientation due to bait and switch tactics from recruiter it was comical how different the actual job was then what I hired on for. Which leads us to My current company I've been there 14 months nice people, home daily but I'm not making a living due to job being weather related and they have no work. I'm looking for a home daily job or weekly that pays a decent wage and a company that is at least half honest. I do not mind working hard I like to run as much as I can in a week. The next job I get I would like to stay long term so I can add a little stability to my resume. Any suggestions or info? Thanks!

Which town do you live in?
Probably some weekend home jobs that pay pretty well with decent benefits.
I don't know for sure; plenty of drivers on here can give job leads.Last edited: Mar 7, 2020
