I went to smith and solomon. lots of standing around waiting your turn and if you just want your ''B" you practice in a school bus. at least thats how it was in Bordentown in 2011. But they do gaurantee you to pass your test no matter how long it takes.

Jersey tractor trailer training in Lyndhurst nj is a great school. I got a class A there. They offer private lessons and about same price as S & S.

you get 1 week in the classroom to prepare for the permit test. Then you are on the lot to practice backing and stuff. They will teach you pretrip inspection and air brake test and tell you word for word how the DMV wants you to do them. All the tests are taken at the DMV. The permit test can be taken at any DMV location any day but the driving test is taken at the Bakers Basin location in Lawrence Twp. on route 1. I recommend you go for your class A because it gives you more options for work and at the school there are a few trucks to practice with but only one bus for the B drivers to practice with and that bus bounces around to other school location so some days it wasn't even there. Again this is how it was a few years back but it doesn't seem like much has changed.

I graduated from smith and solomon. Good thing is you have unlimited retakes for road test however the student to instructor ratio is horrible. Sometimes you may have to wait hours to get behind the wheel to alley dock or straight line backing.
