Hi guys, we have been around the industry forever but as owner operators leased to a company. So we never had to worry about getting our own loads. Just recently (about 7months ago) we got our own authority and it's been a hassle to get work sometimes. I use C.H Robinson a lot but I would like to know what other brokers are out there that are decent paying? Another thing, we are based out of Houston, TX so, what lanes should I move towards?
Good brokers to use for reefer loads and what lanes?

There's a few good ones out there...triple t transport has always been fair, Megacorp logistics oddly enough has always done the right thing by me (well almost always) TQL has a ton of loads but I'd rather not lower my standards. I know lotta cats will disagree with me and say you only make money with direct freight but heck sometimes you gotta do. Best advice I could give is do whatever it takes to provide spectacular customer service and you'll be fine. Phooey on cheap n heavy man.

Thanks guys. What I'm having difficulty with is moving loads back into Houston or at least close enough to home. And the ones I do find are dirt cheap so I don't move them. When brokers call me asking me to move for cheap I just laugh and then I hang up. I find decent loads out but coming back in is hard. I'm trying to find dedicated routes
