Most of the time I'm in/out of the truck every 250-500 miles so want something easy enough to get on/off. I drive with shoes on in the truck if I'm not getting out in a jiffy. Had a pair of nice steel toe shoes that looked like boots but I somehow lost one of them this afternoon lol. I don't go anywhere that requires me to have a 6 or 8" boot but they are somewhat prefered for more ankle support.

Looking for something comfortable and tough that's good for this kind of work..What do you guys use?

    Thanks!

Try the Timberland Pro Hyperion 6" boots. Excellent comfort and traction. I dont pull a Flatbed but do multiple liftgate deliveries in snow and wet conditions. They are waterproof and have great traction. They are steel toed.

Doc martens are the only boots ill buy... are they expensive? Yes but they will outlast about 6 pairs of cheaper boots that will cost more than the docs

How about a boot that don't jump out the door and then roll back under the truck? :yes2557: Because that is exactly what you need right now! And also a boot that fits both feet! :biggrin_25520: I wear what I find to be comfortable and lasting!

I just recently purchased a pair of Timberland Pro Series Boomtown 8" boots. Brown, waterproof, oil/slip resistant, composite toe (lighter than steel), anti-fatigue inner sole technology, lace up. They were roughly $150 from the local Timberland store.

I've worn many pairs of boots since the 90's, and this is by far the best "out of box straight to foot, every day use" type of boot I have owned. There has literally been no reason for a break in period, they are that comfortable. I wanted the Pro Helix edition, but with the extra "grip" these boots have on the sides it helps in the nasty stuff.

The Boomtown edition is fading out, but you can still find some online. The model # is: 89662

    Good luck to ya!

I prefer the Redwing 2412 model. Most comfortable steel toe boots I have ever worn and durable.
