    if i take a load to the port of jacksonville fl with no twic card, how do i get in the port and how much will it cost? do i need to call in advance?

    before the twic stuff you really didn't need anything but a license. and many places are 60 to 90 dollars.

    I'd call ahead and find out before I took that load. Some of the chemical plants I go to charge a set fee and others charge by the hour. Either way it ain't cheap. It's ridiculous too as most of them barely glance at it anyway.

    I've been there a few times. Almost always someone there who will approach you and ask if you need an escort. They may ask for $60 - $90. Tell him all you have is $30. If he wont do it the next guy will. Thats been my experience.
