Sorry to hear that man. I think that's entrapment plain and simple.

Down the road from me there are two county roads. Both have signs on the state road telling you the weight limit for them, then before you turn on the road there are signs saying what the limit is. Also Florida is sometimes, not always, good about warning you of a bridge weight limit well before you go down a road. Only roads I have found they don't do that are like rural dirt roads.

I know it's all worked out now, and I haven't been in Florida in years, but would they even be open on a holiday? Everything I've passed from the west to the mid-west has been closed all weekend.

Florida is one of those states where 99% of the coops and ag inspection stations are open 24/7/365

Don't forget in Florida, most every scale is a safe haven. They have parking plus restroom facilities for drivers. I've heard some even had showers but I've yet to see it and never believed it. It's nice they do that considering that lack of truckstops in Florida.

Gave it a shot and stopped at the first scale... Was told to park and come inside (for the first time ever in Florida, been here over 30 times)... I thought that the weight triggered the copy's attention but was wrong.. He just checked my vehicle registration and let me go. No log book check or inspection... Weird.

BTW, how come there is no info online about MM112 weight station on I-95 which seems to be brand new and was open last night.. I got off the turnpike early thinking that there are no more scales but was wrong again lol
