Id say so... I don’t use rate view or 411 but I also have a lot of experience doing this stuff. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for me to get carrier 411 though.

DAT power is a must. There is a 15 day rate to the carrier avg pay suggestion on there which could save you getting rate view.

I tried ascend a couple years ago and wasn’t a fan, but that was early in their development and also I was trying to run a brokerage and trucking company thru it.

Freight waves has a service that’s around $500 a month I believe. Tons and tons of data. I don’t have it but have seriously considered it. New folks need more tools then people that can shoot pretty accurate from the hip. So, up to you.

 

Sorry to say but Armenians aren’t the issue. The good ole boys aren’t trying to make a buck either, they will screw you when they can and will, so will the brothers, Pakistanis, the Mexicans, and every other race i have been in contact with. It’s outrageous to say that only one race of people are doing it, when i know #### well everyone is doing it. Just because i dont blame people doesn’t mean i dont have proof.

Once again to get rid of the double brokers FMCSA needs to enforce the laws, and on top of that introduce chain of custody on shipping.

 

This is 99.9% correct. Anybody and everybody will screw you over to make a buck in this business but right now the only problem i have consistently is the Armenians double brokering our loads, getting claimed without insurance coverage, holding loads held hostage, and then my company has to pay 40,000 to make the customer right and these tards get to just do it to the next guy, and the next guy. And thats not to mention all the drivers that dont get paid, or get paid 1000 less than any of the real brokers are paying.

 

I understand and race doesn’t matter much to me. I’m just talking about the massive ring of thieves who happen to be Armenian in CA and Nevada. There is trash in every race no doubt. It’s just this group it wouldn’t surprise me if they do 80% of the fraud on the west coast. Their operations are moving East too.

 

Midwest Trucker - you would probably like carrier411. Its like a soap opera for logistics folks on there. Some of the reports are comical, you'll get a hell of a laugh. Plus with your experience, you would probably make a ton of connections between companies scamming. Thats how i figured a lot of their game out, reading FG reports and reaching out to the brokers who had it happen for the MC#s, ph#s, names, emails of the dirty double brokering bandits. lol.

 

one thing you can do is work with older mc’s only. You can cross check the corporations with the states Secretary of State, if it’s a new Corp but old Mc don’t do it. That’s an extra layer of protection.

 

also if they use Royalty Capital, Crossroads Services, or Asteria Corp to factor their loads they are guaranteed to be Glendale Gang scammers. As far as the west coast thing I agree, becaus LA is basically largest Armenian population, but out of the immigrants in LA they are also one of the richest. So the whole mentality is making money.

 

That there in lies the problem. Money over everything, no ethics or morals, scumbags if you ask me. They dont care if they ruin your business or if you end up in the streets as a result, so long as they get to drive a BMW. I dont #### over people in this business and ill be ###### if i let anyone bamboozle me because they are too stupid or greedy to operate with even the most basic of moral principals.

And i digress, i have a gang of smart drivers who know what they are doing and who do a great job and we all make excellent money the right way as a result. Just because Edison raped Tesla doesnt make it right. Just becasue they Armenian think its cool to scam everyone to drive nice car, doesnt mean its right or should be tolerated. Id rather not work with stupid people either.

 

I notice on DAT a lot of brokers who I have never heard of with old MC's.
When you check their insurance, it usually shows, that is was activated in 2020-2021. That's a red flag for me right there and I just quickly move on to a different one.
