Ok, so I was put in a different tractor a couple of days ago, yesterday was my second delivery, both times the blue side glad hand on the trailer (rail chassis) was broke near the grommet. Picked up a trailer at a Kimberly Clark yesterday drove to Fairview, TN, and after I got backed into the spot at the flying j, I seen that yet another glad hand had yet again broken near the grommet... I don't understand why this is happening and only to the service side and not both service and emergency sides. Any ideas?

On your next hook up, make your connections, then make a sharp turn so your truck is about a 45 degree angle to the trailer. Stop, park your brakes, and check out if there are any clearance issues between the trailer and the back of your truck and check the trailer air lines have enough slack. Do this again at about 90 degrees.

if not a clearance problem try changing your gland hand rubbers to a some other type that you dont have to put alot of pressure on in the cold weather. the black rubber ones always went on better than the red and blue plastic ones. lots of luck with that problem

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying? The metal glad hand is breaking? Is this happening after you pick a trailer up? If so I'd assume you have your fifth wheel too far forward?

Thanks for the info. Those look nice, now to find a supplier stateside. I've been looking for a better way to handle the air connections for a while now.

Duo Matic is M16X1.5 threaded, so u need two metric fittings. I switched to duo matic and no any air leak
