well guys ive never been paid this way, the new co im leasing onto this is how they setup payroll and i have no experience with this. he told me i could write out comcheck for amount needed and call comcheck and use ghe number on my comdata card as authorized number and i forgot to ask then what? do i take that comcheck and deposit it in my account checking or cash out right at bank teller at my bank? i know he told me there were no fees in doing this. i had read other threads of ppl speaking of having there checking account linked to the comdata card to avoid this mission but co did not mention or offer that option nor did i leave my account number on any form i filled out?
is this going to be a hassle or benifit using comdata card? i know you cant you use card like sn atm.card at the machine at least last time i tried it did nothing, only pull small amount from pilots or flyin j's or have things changed?

any help to clarify this process would be great just dont want to stress myself not knowing how it works.

only had it one time. company said drivers use it for cash all the time. even at atms. but like you, no worky on the atm. so i'm a little vague on how drivers use it.

i know you can use it at walmart and home depot. and some other stores will also take it. provided you have a pin number to use it like a checking debit card.

the company i worked for. had the option of direct link to bank account. i had to make phone calls and go through the prompts to transfer money to my credit union. deposited next day. took 2 weeks to set up though. so that sucked.

if your company didn't provide that option. call comdata and see if they can do it for you. me personally, didn't like the comdata as my only payday.

Each to his own but I wouldn't work for such an outfit. They've got to get with the times and organize your $$ to go directly into your bank account. What's so difficult with that? I pay all my bills online so this kind of arrangement with Comdata would be worthless and why have your money go onto the Comdata card and then have to go thru the hassle of transferring it to your regular bank account. But good luck with that.

It's pretty simple. Use your card number for the express code. Register the check using the phone number. Fair warning, write out the check first as it can take a few days to void a registered check if you screw up writing it out after you authorized it. If the number you call has you press two for direct deposit, get with Comdata customer service and you can most likely set it up. I pull money out of ATM's all the time. Use your PIN, Select checking when the ATM prompts you, and money shoots out of the machine. Most tellers know what a comcheck is. They will take it and call the number on the check, punch in the info required and get an authorization number saying the check is valid.

Because some companies pay drivers on their Comdata card and they know how to easily deposit it into their local bank accounts.

Why would anyone lease a truck?

Yes. I used comdata for a couple years. When I was married I used to leave a stack of comcheck a with the wife. She would text me the check number she wanted to use on payday and I would register it and she would take it to the bank and deposit it

some tellers at the bank may not know how to deposit the check so if not have a manager do it

Also you can cash checks at truckstops, but there will be a fee if you don't fuel and some truckstops limit the amount
