Hey guys. So I got a speeding ticket 22MPH over the speed limit in 2017. Are there any companies that will touch me? I'm in Clarksville,TN I tried RE West but the recruiter said they can't hire me because of how fast I was going. I read that Western, CR England and Swift will train me but I wanna see if there is any more options out there.
Getting CDL with speeding ticket 20 MPH over.

Your best bet would be going to one of the mega carriers for however long it takes to get trained and fulfill any contract obligations before moving on to a slightly better company to get the experience you need to find a decent job OR if money isn't too much of an issue you could try something like a local grain co-op that owns trucks to get training and experience(usually with no strings attached)
As for the speeding ticket 1 isn't too much of a big deal,I have a ticket for going 31 over and yes it closed some doors for me but I still don't have trouble finding decent work but if you get another ticket for 15+ over you'll pretty much become untouchable and with a CDL 2 serious violations will lead to a 60 day disqualification. -
I haven't had a speeding ticket in over 14 years but when I used to get them when I was a kid. The cops always gave me a little bit of a break so I'm wondering if they wrote it for 22 mph over how fast you were really going?

Mine was 86 in a 55 MPH construction zone of all things so I think you'll be fine.

SWIFT just turned me down for 1 ticket 22 over. I haven’t had a ticket in years and it’s my only ticket. Wonder who would take meLonesome Thanks this.

did you get hit with just speeding or reckless driving, ya insurance plays a huge part who they can and can't hire too and on the other side is if they hire you and your doing 15+ in your car what is to stop you from driving 15+ in a company truck. Hopefully, Chinatown chimes in just hope you keep in mind you have a cdl and are held to a higher standard my truck doesn't have cruise control but I made a habit after I got my CDL I would protect it as it can make me money.
If your vehicle has cruise control I recommend set to speed limit and if you live near a big city try a drag strip if you have a need for speed I have used my personal vehicle in a drag strip lost and won some and when its over back to being the slowest vehicle on the road to speed limit or less. -
Just hit with speeding. My record was spotless before this one ticket. I understand I screwed up but I was coming out of Texas interstate into an Arkansas small town and bam! If Swift won’t take me then the majority of others probably won’t either. Yeah I should have went on a drag strip to get out of my system I suppose. Thank you for the info. I’m at loss who will take me with a permit and this one ticket.

It’s considered reckless driving by companies and their insurance 15+
