Newly registered ex trucker looking for info on this company. It's a small outfit located in Cartersville Ga. When I say small; I mean less than 100 power units. Interested in their hiring practices. Trying to find company that might hire an experienced driver with no recient experience in last 11 years.

Just curious to know whether you found anything out on Georgia Southern Transportation or not... I live down in Newnan, GA and see they are hiring for runs out from Newnan... Just looking to see what they have to offer! Their website is down at the moment.. so figured i would turn to this forum to find out.

No I did not find any info on them. Rode past their yard in Cartersville on the way to a A/C service call. Medium sized yard. Just a few vans there. Looked neat, not trashy. Only one power unit there at the time. I was interested in them as they appear to be a smallish company. I have had it with corporate crap. If I do go back to driving; It will be with a carrier where I can talk to the owner face to face when I need to. Good luck with it. Look at it this way; if you can't find anything about them; the drivers are not on the internet complaining about their job. Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful.

Georgia Southern is a good company. Haven't ever heard anything bad about them. They run good equipment. All Volvos. Lots of dedicated accounts with big-name customers. Runs are almost always in the southeast region. Lots of North Carolina & South Carolina runs for PetSmart, Macy's, and Haynes. They haul a lot of stuff to Ellenwood, GA. My uncle drove for them nearly 2 years. They got him home every weekend and he was never far from home at any time. They do require 3 years OTR.
