Hello, I recently bought a truck from a dealer in Georgia. The truck was actually in Texas and titled in Texas. I am trying to register in Georgia and they gave me a T-22B form for a Georgia Law Enforcement Office to Inspect the vehicle. The problem is, my truck was bobtailed from Texas to Montana and will be running up there for a while for a carrier that I am a lessor for.

Does anyone know if a Law Enforcement Officer from another state might be able to do the vehicle inspection and I would be able to use that in Georgia to register the semi-truck?

If not, I have to have someone drive the truck all the way down here to Georgia and would cost me about $6000 round trip. Thanks in advance

I know you have very strict rules when comes to vehicle titles but could you not have justice of the peace or equivalent perform the task as it is just a visual inspection. How 'bout a preacher, whose going to deny him? Up here I would just have local appraiser do the inspection for $50.

You need to ask GA about that...

I know (NC) a friend of mine bought a pickup truck. Wanted to Register it in CA where he lives. He had to drive the truck to CA so the DMV could physically look at the VIN tag to verify it. He bought it from a dealership,, new.

I kinda doubt it. The form itself says in big letters at the top:
Certification of Inspection by a Duly Constituted Georgia Law Enforcement Officer

I'm kinda curious why they want you to fill out a T-22B. I live in Georgia and I didn't have to when I bought my 2009 Cascadia in Oklahoma. The T-22B is a certification of the VIN number and is usually only required for vehicles being brought in from a state that doesn't issue titles. Here is a link to the rules:

I bought a truck in Indiana and titled it in Michigan, the girl behind the desk said "ok where's the bill of sale?" and I got a title.

If the DMV is asking to confirm it as an actual vehicle, complain to their superiors because there is an agreement with all states on licensed dealers and accepting the out of state titles/bill of sales as a legitimate purchase - especially on commercial interstate vehicles.

In Pa. I have gone to the decentralized motor vehicle agent with pictures, (several,) on my phone.
Went from full vehicle, half , quarter, then windshield, then zoom to VIN plate.
Flipped thru them and she says, - "OK."
Title transfer was Jersey to Pa.
