If you have a vertical stack have a bung welded to it tread in a nipple and attach exhaust that way little flex is all that will be needed. Look for the braided flex pipe used on cars. Less susceptible to fractures and leaking than traditional flex

I run mine on the cat walk. There’s a head rack between it and the cab. I don’t smell it. One night the wind was blowing in a perfect direction and I move onto the direction of the wind just to be sure, I keep a CM detector in the cab next to my bed. So far no problem. If you have a reefer or van absolutely make some sort of piping. If you are in a truck stop at night I would highly recommend you get a CM detector. These set ups are becoming more popular so you may be parking next to someone that runs one.

Espar bunk heater exhaust is probably about the right sizeDino soar and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
If I was mounting one on my deck plate I’d just run the exhaust along your frame and dump it out back behind your rear drive axle somewhere.
cke, Rideandrepair and Roberts450 Thank this. -
My current generator (Predator 3500) has a stub coming off the muffler that has the same O.D. as 3/4" electrical conduit. This will fit Espar heater stainless flex pipe that can be purchased at Thermo King or Carrier (not cheap but lasts a long time). This flex pipe is solid with no joints like other pipe.
I then have a length of 3/4" conduit that is hose clamped to my exhaust stack. It barely sticks above the cab. (Does not go up and down with the cab)
I use Permatex Ultra Copper to seal the connections with 3/4" stainless hose clamps holding the joints together.
All that being said, I just bought a new Honda EG2800i. If the exhaust doesn't have the right size outlet, I'll end up welding a short piece of 3/4" conduit to the muffler so I can use my same setup.
IH Truck Guy, Speed_Drums, not4hire and 3 others Thank this. -

Oh... and about covering your generator, I used to do that when it was new. Even said in the manual to keep it out of the rain.
Pfft! It's probably got 8000 hours on it now, no cover, and been through all sorts of weather. Now of course, I don't run in salt country, so your mileage may vary.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

That is a nice setup.
On my truck the exhaust everything is connected right with the cab that rides up and down so I can't set it up that way.Rideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this.
