Hello Drivers! I'm in need of advice what to do if I got gasoline instead of diesel at Pilot truck stop in Belgrade, Mt on December 5 2017 around 6:30 pm. Please keep in mind it was disel island. Not my mess up. My truck currently in the freightliner shop being evaluated for damages.

Gas and diesel is a highly explosive mix, have them clean all that completely out including fuel lines and filters or make sure your insurance is paid up and to the max. Hopefully it was the truck stops mistake because it can get very costly, but them 2 fuel mixed makes a static charge that might be ok as long as everything is completely full, get down to fumes you will be in trouble.

You positive you were not at the gas pump? Which pump were you on? I ask because the first island does have gasoline, the one closest to the building.

Didn't the nozzle look different to you? Did the pump say diesel?
Honestly if so it's pilots bill.
Only thing I see getting ruined would be injectors. It will not damage much else. Gas can be mixed at 10% with diesel.

That truck is a sad sack on that mix. We have lost entire engines on that screw up before. Never me personally but companies have suffered losses with that.

I for one cannot understand how a diesel fuel pump can supply gasoline, if that is the case then the Pilot has to pay and HOW.... bill em or sue em.

If you drove with that gasoline in the fuel tank, you are riding on a bomb. Consider today your new birthday because if it ever heated to a certain flash point you would be cremated the hard way.

So many normal things sold by themselves are not harmful, until you mix 2 of them together and then you have a whole different beast, even much of what is sold in grocery stores can be mixed to make some huge problems.
