Gary, Indiana area Where to stop

I shouldn't advertise this, but I usually hit the Loves or the Petro on I-80 at exit 9 after 7:00 PM and find a spot.

 

I prefer the ta or pilot at exit 22. Seems safer there. Ta has a huge parking lot there. Also flying j exit 15. Lots of parking there too. Steel city (petro soon) exit 9 huge parking as well. Are you going across 94 or coming up 65 or ?

try and stop earlier if you can

 

The T/A at exit 6 (Burr st.) always has somewhere to park. They have security running through the lot so nothing to be too worried about considering the area.

personally i always head for the Petro ex 326 on 57

2 big lots

 

I know people ##### about TA having reserved parking and having to pay for it, but your reasons is EXACTLY for just that, for when you know your going to be stopping there for the night

 

The T/A at exit 22B- Burns Harbor has lots of parking. T/A also bought the truck stop across the street and that one has ample parking too. If they are full you can park in the fireworks store parking lot. The Pilot at Xt 22A usually fills up fast. Never been bothered at any of those areas.
