Had this for a few months now, turned it off after driving the other night turned it on in the morning and now it won't boot up just "system files missing" shows on the screen. Garmin support is closed until Monday. Never heard of this happening and not thrilled about the recent problem.

Look for a hard reset button bar that you can wait for customer support but it is probably bricked if it doesn't have a hard reset button or that doesn't fix it. The manufacturer can repair it but takes special system and or software to reflash the system files

Actually thinking about it you MAY be able to do a firmware update on it if you did not lose the cable that lets you connect it to a PC DO NOT use a standard USB it could destroy your PC Mobo by overdrawing the power on the USB port almost did it to mine but mine has dual BIOS and reverted it self got to love gigabyte... I can't walk you through it at the moment cause don't have a PC with me I do use the 570 my self though

Sorry about the issue with your Garmin. I've been running 2 different Garmins (small one for auto and big one for truck) the last 4 years and never had an issue of any sort with either of them. Have you ever updated this unit (software and/or maps)? Did you buy this unit new from a store or "refurbished or used" elsewhere?
FWIW, I never turn mine off except when I'm headed for home time when I then update the device. Also, I did own an RM, used it 2 months did not like it, put it in a storage box for a few years, and when I later retrieved it to maybe use as a remote camera monitor device, the unit was toasted (too much heat I guess) -

Buy another one. Return the messed up one and get full refund
