Hello everyone im new to the forum. I'm buying my first cb radio and i think I've narrowed it down to 3 radios. I'm curious as to your thoughts on which is the best of the 3. Thanks in advance... It's very much appreciated.

If you are not going to buy an "export" radio. I'd stick with a Cobra or Uniden and have it set up by a competent tech and match it to a good antenna. On that note, I was talking to my brother tonight about getting his computer fixed by my friend the CB tech that some of you have used and like. He ran all 48 and Canada, (CFI and Tysons) and he ran a Cobra 29 with a 4 1/2 Francis, set up by my friend and favorite tech, and he commented on how when he was out running around all over the country, he was always trying to convince the folks he talked to that he was running a barefoot Cobra 29. Our friend and favorite radio tech is simply awesome when it comes to making your radio do all it can do. (He was the moderator on CBTricks for several years when it first started out...some of you old timers may know who I'm talking about.) FWIW.

Mike's tech sure has me getting great comments about my set-up. I have DX'd to all 50 states and a dozen or more countries with my 2970 on SSB that he tuned for me. I've had guys try to get me to sell my connex to them while driving down the road. A true tune and adjustmet is all it takes, but they have to know what they are doing and Mike's tech does. And NO he didn't pay me to say that.
mike5511 Thanks this. -
I wasn't really trying to get business for him or anything, just pointing out that a Cobra 29, properly set up, is a great choice. However, I can hook you up if you want it done right!

JMO, and mean no disrespect to anyone nor any brand.
The ones listed are Big Radio wanna be's, you'll spend $150 + and get the same 4watt un-tuned radio as a $75 cobra. Then spend another $25-50 on peak/tune and still have small radio w/ extra knobs that looks big.
I'm not bashing connex. galaxy, nor cobra. They all mfg. a very nice FCC compliant radio, and that is what you get. My only point is you will likely take them to a radio shop at some point, and w/ money spent, they have these on display used for 1/2 the cost fully functional and tuned.
A driver reward program w/ 15000 points is only reason I would ever look at TS radio.
