What will work when in comes to fuel line? Dealership has the synflex plastic line and fleet pride has the heavy duty stiff rubber line with steel reinforcement along with crimped fittings.

I'm guessing the standard 1/2 I.d. automotive line rubber fuel line with screw type clamps and brass nipples will not the work?

    Thanks

The fuel line on my truck has Number 8 fittings for the supply line and Number 10 for the return lines. They have the crimped ends on the line.
I would think as long as the line can handle the pressure and volume of fuel they should work. Just need to get proper fittings to adapt.
    Good luck.

Nope and nope. The larger fuel is not under pressure but is a suction line. A regular fuel hose would collapse.

That hose is great for everything. Air, fuel, coolant. Seems to be highly resistant to abrasion also.

I'm liking this a lot more as it is cheaper and more durable. My parts guys has it in 1/2 and 3/4 double steel braided. Did you use the 3/4 for the intake or is that over kill? Thanks

3/4 is a pretty darn large hose i would not think original is any bigger than 1/2 or maybe 5/8, normally what i do is i take the hose off and run it down to napa or another hydraulic place i use and just have them make a hose that matches the old one, same length size and end fittings.

most original hoses iv come across have been originally whats called "truck hose" or "transport hose". with the screw on taper style fittings, you can buy everything you need to make new hoses with that as well and make them yourself. i like the hydraulic hose because its a much tougher hoses. and i like the crimp fittings better than the screw on style.

you could also use an hose. if you felt so inclined but i would guess cost would be more than hydraulic.

I gotta give it to you I never would've thought to use hydraulic hose. Got some half-inch made up last night and got them attached it is so nice. I had to use a plastic fuel line from the Davco to the primary fuel filter housing because of the strange OEM fitting cannot convert over to 1/2 NPT.

15ft hydraulic line with swivel ends

Like I said I couldn't use the hydraulic line because of the OEM Voss fitting on the primary fuel filter housing. It was some special 17 mm metric thread I believe. Got screwed by Volvo and was charged $98 for 7.5 ft and 2 Voss fittings. Ridiculous
