I know there is another thread about this same thing but it is old and I don't know if anyone still reads it.
We have the same exact problem with our truck. We have a 2007 Volvo 780. My husband has been all under our truck checking everything out.. Nothing is loose.
We just had new king pins and bushings installed. Maybe 6 months ago. Just a couple weeks ago we had had it in the shop in Texas and had the whole spring system replaced. we picked it up and went to try it out, When I turned right back into the dealership it popped again. The truck does ride better because the springs were worn out but evidently that was not what caused our problem. We have looked, pulled prodded on everything under out truck trying to make sure nothing was loose. The steering box, the motor mounts, anything my husband can think of .. we have checked.
We drove it yesterday to see if it was still popping, (we are at home right now. ) and it is still doing it.. We went into an abandoned subdivision and rode around swerving from the left to the right.. It pops really loud when we swerve left. He took the shocks off of it and we are going to drive it without them to see if it may be the shocks.
Does ANYONE have any suggestions?

Leaf spring hanger and / or pivot bushings are worn.
Edit: I see that you had the springs replaced, but the symptom you describe is usually related to the spring bushings. Were the frame brackets replaced also?OLDSKOOLERnWV and Gram25 Thank this. -
Almost any spring setup will pop turning corners, just the nature of the beast as the weight shifts. You surely don't want to drive it without shocks

We just had Leaf spring hangers on both sides of the truck installed 3 weeks ago. We had new air bag and leveling valve installed on right side of truck also. We have put cab air bags and shocks on .

oh, we have owned this truck for 7 years and it has just started this popping thing in the last couple months.

Check the u-bolts too just to make sure. Sounds like you covered most of the possibilities. Only other thing I can suggest is check out the steering components

What about the shackle pins and bushings?
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
did you check the cab mounts? I had one go bad and it would pop when I turned sharp enough to make the cab shift.

My Prostar did that backing up and full lock turn . It was a bent steering stop bolt. Not a Volvo but something else to look at .
