i prefer Wise Potato Chips myself. But if you get a job with them be sure to tell them you enjoy all their snacks. It'll look good in the interview.

No, but if you can get on with them it's 55/73k home every night. You usually have to touch every box unloading, but they weigh about 5lbs a piece.

Yea I think that figure is abt. right, what I hear is most runs are just an overnite stay, pay is excellent,as well as benefits, say they are really hard to get a job with also, and nobody ever leaves so they don't hire very much at all.

If you get the chance go for it, you'll never look back. One of the best trucking jobs around, the kind that you can stay on til you retire. I know of a few guys that sold their homes in the Greensboro , NC area and moved to Charlotte , NC when the company re-located back in the early '80's. They are all retired now and doing well.

Thanks Tony, Have heard many good things abt. this company, seen a few negative things posted but was in a different state from where I was trying to get on at,a few was griping abt. oldest drivers getting best loads with and new drivers having to unload boxes by hand or dolly,I don't think unloading 5 pd boxes at 8cents a box at 47 cents a mile starting pay would be to diffcult for me to get used to,just abt. any job I ever heard of you always started out at the bottom and then with time put in you moved up the list for better position, think there is to many people now days that don't want to work anyway.and don't even know what work is.

I worked for them in Louisville Ky for 12 years until they closed our plant. It was a great place to work and was making $1500-$1600 a week when I left in 2002 working 55 hours a week. Usually was out 2 nights a week and slept in hotel of my choice. Frito makes more than potato chips, IE, crackers, cookies, cheese dip and salsa, therefore everything is not light, or they wouldn't use tandem tractors most of the time. It is still a great job if you don't mind 3-4 hours of unloading per load that the driver does. For a big company, they treated us like family. The hours are not so good, 24 hour dispatch at most locations.
