I was talking to fritolay driver while i was loading my car with newspapers.
It sounded pretty good. seems the only things there looking for is OTR
drivers seems like a lot of companys are looking for OTR now i think about it. I guess the nice thing is im single sadly still living with my mom because of darn credit cards Although i figure whats the point of having your on place if your going to be gone for atleast two weeks. I prefer to look in to be a Dedicated - driver but OTR is tempting to just get out debt.
I still got alot learn about the many drivering opportunities there out there.

I have no idea how Fritolay works in other states but we have a plant here in Kern County and they have a variety of different driving positions..... the issue may be that (at least around here) they are well liked and I would guess that they have a low turnover rate and thus, few open positions.

I have had several people recommend them to me......

I worked for Frito lay for a year. The facility I worked from was one of two union plants they had. Not sure how much of my experience was because of the union and how much was company policy.

I made good money with them. We got paid for everything from hooking up trailers to chaining up to sitting in traffic to per diem to overnight pay. We were gone from the plant 10hours-48 hours. Unloading was paid by the box and worked out to a little over $30/hour. Logs were paperless, done on a dash mounted computer. They were very safety oriented. Equipment was fleet speced but was very well maintained. I was working 4 days a week and was grossing $1,000-$1200/week.

The reason I left is all runs were bid on. There were three bids a day and you would never know if you would get a trip or not. This made it impossible to have any social life or make any plans. I was still on the casual board. They had so many 30-40 year people there that 20 years seniority was not much better than 20 days.

This Co. is good for some and NOT good for others. The have a " prehistoric " an " old stone age " called BIDDING SYSTEM which help the seniors drivers get all the little work that they got and leave everybody else with nothing. I work for them right now but I'm in the proccess to move on to any other Co.
The hired U as " casual " and as like a joke the kind of work U get, you need to be by the phone 24/7, don't have a life of your own and when you get some work is maybe couple days a week. Seniors drivers run all the shots and management sit around with their finger up their a... !. Beware, this chips will give U a sour taste in your mouth if you want to work for 'em.

I work for Frito Lay. I have worked for them for a year. I am at the Topeka, KS plant. They are really hurting for drivers so if you meet the minimum qualifications it wont be to hard getting on. They pay very well usually gross between 1000-1800 a week. Be ready to work all the time and not know when you are gonna be home. Being single will help you. Good luck!

I like to know which position this is? Box truck where your in the store rotating product? Or Tractor trailer? And as a Otr guy do you stop and deliver to stores and shuffle product? Or plant to plant? Is there a difference between terminals you work at to be busy on their extra board, say Denver? I've delivered boxes of chips before and I loved it on my 2 wheeler so light!!! Lol!
