find a diferent dealer ....the one here will tell you anything you need to know ...horwith freightliner in northampton pa 877-220-8807 just give them the last 6 numbers ...... 610984 (ask for parts dept)
there should be a model number tag in the center of the backside of the axle
usually any truck over 10 years old requires a little more effort on their part because it will be on microfilm and not on the computerLast edited: May 30, 2011

meritor FF-961 serial number for axle AVF94052265. what parts are you needing? i will get you factory part numbers which they should be able to cross.
lostNfound Thanks this. -
I am beginning to dislike some dealers too. I called williams dertoit in b-ham AL a few months ago & asked them for my turbo number, cause thre was none readable on mine. I gave him my last 8 vin & he asked if I was going to buy from them before he did the legwork on looking it up. That got me a lil aggravated. they get paid to help Detroit customers. it cost the employee nothing to type on the comp.I can see trying to get the sale, by courtesy, but not by requiring that you buy from them as a condition to give you info.

Snooping for fuel mileage.. would my vin # tell me specifically what rears are in my truck? Can they swap for mileage... wanna keep this truck.

Or call Freightliner in the morning. They can look it up. Assuming it's still the OEM rears (likely.) -
