I'm thinking of buying a 2007 Columbia mid-top with a 70" sleeper. Can anyone tell me how much this weighs?

Without knowing what motor you have, 112" or 120" BBC, Tandem or Tri axle etc, etc, this is only a guess.

But if it is your typical let's say Maverick truck, I say right around 17,000-17,800

Do not know what the tractor weighs by itself, but with a full tank and my trailer mt, I weigh 29400...it is a Maverick set up.

Thanks JTH, but I need to know just the weight of the tractor. The guy I'm getting ready to sign on with requires the tractor be less than 18000 and I would REALLY like to get one of the Columbia mid-top sleepers. I love the room inside and they are not that tall, a serious consideration as I will be going into alot of chemical plants that have lots of pipe crossing the roadways.

Wow, that's a lot. I don't think he'll go for that much over.

it'll be under 18,000lbs dont worry. My columba with 280Gallons of fuel with a condo was 17,500lbs. So a midroof will be a little lighter then that.

My Columbia 3 axle day cab weighs 15,480 with full tanks of 120 gallon.
On the scales everyday for waste hauling, lightest tractor hauling the heaviest trailers.

They go to me if another combination is over 80,000. Squeek by under 80,000 without pumping off a load.
these units are light and can handle the weight

You are truly an American Trucker. :biggrin_2559:
Thanks A-T. That's good news as he's only requiring <18,000 with 100 gallons of fuel. Dang-it son, I really like the way that truck looks. I also like the fact that the individual gauges are replaceable if need be. Tell me, are you running super singles?

    Thanks.

on the truck i have now (Century) yes i have Super Singles and i HATE them! lol The only thing i like is its allot easyer to scale a heavy load, but its not worth the loss of traction.

My Columbia didnt have them though.
