If the headlight switch is in down position (marker lights) all the gauges are lit, if I switch to up position (headlights on) - no light in the whole dash, but headlights, turn signals - working.
Check the video. Bad headlight switch ? Where to look for this problem?

I had this problem with my Columbia and it was in the switch contacts.
I was actually able to take the switch apart and clean the contacts and stretch the springs a bit and make it work again.Verdel Thanks this. -
I have a 2006 freightliner columbia smart shift and it reads PD and won't start. I pulled over last night and when I turned the truck off, it wouldn't cut off, I actually took the key out and it still was restarting itself. It finally cut off and I woke up with the PD ON the screen. I tried the codes to restart it but it didn't work. On the dash the check transmission light is on and the engine protect keeps flashing. Can anybody help me??
