Freightliner Cascadia engine fan switch installation tutorial.

There was no available switch slot open, so the dome light switch was replaced for the new fan switch. Therefore, dome light switch no longer available on dash due to replacement for engine fan switch. After removing the switch the code dome light subbus switch missing will appear on diagnostic link software, but not as an active code. Try at your very own risk : )
    ***note***
To confirm that the newly installed engine fan switch turn on and off few times while listening to the fan clutch selenoid purge air when activated and also feel the fan clutch actuating on and off as well.
***note*** Generic fan switch part number A0653782016. Don't forget to press the send parameters button after changing them on the detroit diesel diagnostic link software.

Follow the images below 1 through 4. Good luck.

I had to order the switch online. Premier couldn't find it in their system or from a VIN that has one. Have you had any luck in turning down the fan kicks on temp? I can't find it.

Sure. It's under the parameters section under engine fan and cooling. Not on the tab fan section. On the parameters section there is first stage and second. Need to change both conserving the same temp range length ratio.

I bought my switch from Premier. Somebody in Parts needs to step up their game.

I'm not in the truck this week but I think the fan activation temp was under Common Limiters when I set mine. Not sure about that though. Try searching for 224. That's the factory default activation temp. I'm pretty sure that's how I found it.

I set my fan activation temp to 218 and haven't had any problems. Don't set it too low or you may have problems with high temperature regens.
