Foward air claims $450,000 a year for team owner operators

i did almost $280k on my own in a year. a team can do it

 

Maybe a team. A team should do 500k tho IMO.

When I looked into them when I first bought a truck, their rates were barely above the mega company rates. If they're still paying $1.00-1.30 per mile, you're going to be going through trucks every other year trying to make $450k.

 

Id agree with that. You could probably do a lot better leasing into a small company. They are out there if you know where to look.

 

I don't know if I'd want to run that hard even if I had Kitty Mommy for a co pilot.

 

Old Dominion has team drivers making $100k+ each

 

There are team jobs available with several LTL carriers that pay consistently $2200-$2500 a week per driver. UPS teams can make $3,000 a week per driver. Being an owner operator is a great thing but a team owner operator needs to make a whole lot more than $1.50 a mile to make it worth your effort. $450,000 a year on 300,000 miles a year wouldn’t net you close to what you could gross working for someone else and having health insurance, 401k, paid vacations and a pension at some companies like UPS.
