Ok guys I'm a new owner coming into the market but a long time driver. Truck manufacture recommends Ultra Low Sulfur Diesal now where would I find that? Is it our regular fuel at Flying J, Pilot, Loves etc? Or I have to look for that label some where?
For to find Ultra Low Sulfur Diesal?

I think all fuel is ultra low now. I remember way back when it first came out it would cause the front seal to leak on the old PT type Cummins fuel pump

You'll find it at every pump in the US, everything is ulsd now.

Oh good that's assuring. Because I looked around the pump if it says what grade or ULSD but didn't find anything and even if I call Pilot they wouldn't know their sales reps have no idea.

Long time driver, but you didn't know this? Wow, good luck running your own...

I believe it is against federal law to sell anything but ulsd for on-hwy vehicles. Some of the small rural ts might sell what they call "off road diesel", which may or may not be ulsd. It is intended for use in farm and construction equipment and it is dyed red. You do not want to be caught with red diesel in your tanks. It is a huge fine because it is taxed at a lower rate than on-hwy diesel.
All the major ts (pfj, loves, ta, speedway, etc) will only sell ulsd and nothing else.RoadLine1 Thanks this. -
People are a lot more concerned about repairs and maintenance when it's their money.Socal Xpress, fordconvert and redoctober83 Thank this. -

If it's in the fuel island at the Pilot, FJ, TA, or others you will be ok, just use common horse sense at a small fuel stop that may offer "off road".
RoadLine1 Thanks this. -
The closest place you can get high sulphur diesel is Mexico, the red diesel is ulsd with red dye in it.
Roberts450 Thanks this.
