Hi
Which Food service delivery companies (US Foods, Sysco, etc) pay the highest salaries, and in which locations. Is it possible to make $30/hr and more in this line of work?
Thanks in advance

When it comes to food service, you'll either get hourly or component pay (cases, stops, mileage).
I find the component pay more ideal since you can work less hours and still make good money.
I generally work 8-9 hrs a day m-f and still do 70k per yearTexas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -

I was at $26.26/hr with US Foods in the midwest, making around $65k for 45 hours of work in 4 days. Would have been pushing $90k if I worked the optional 5th day since it’s all OT at that point.
I wouldn’t expect to see $30/hr outside of a high cost of living area like Seattle or San Francisco, although it could be possible to make the equivalent if the location is on component pay and you complete your routes quickly (will take at least a few months of learning the products and customers before you get good enough to do it).Muttsley, KullenTrucking and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Component pay here, I just did the math on my route tonight and it should be over 35 an hour, but only because it's not my route and it will take me longer than it should.
I'm also not at top rate.Mike2633, speedyk and KullenTrucking Thank this. -
