I have been getting lots of emails from foley compliance for years wanting my business…. Lately I’ve thought about trying some type of compliance company to do paperwork and other bs. It’s not getting any simpler and I seem to be running out of time more and more hence my interest in outsourcing…and this particular job is something I definitely don’t enjoy doing.
just curious if anyone else uses them or has another company to recommend….or maybe at the end of the day I should just keep doing my own paperwork.
thanks

All these things like bienial, ucr, drug consortium, iftas?
They would charge more than a buck, and it wouldn't be worth it.
For example, one of them wanted $150 to do ucr, which takes less than a minute. They had audacity to call me and inform me it was due immediately. They are not service providers. They're parasites!Rideandrepair, brian991219, bamanation and 6 others Thank this. -
Get a calender or learn to use the one on your phone. That'll keep you up to date when these very simple things are due.
I would never trust a service like Foley. They, and other companies like DOT Compliance Service, are shady enough to spam you with email and calls so why wouldn't they be dishonest enough to abuse the suckers who actually sign up.
I imagine a lot of the people who get sucked into places like Foley also keep factoring companies in business. Same for guru courses from so called YouTube trucking experts.Opendeckin, Rideandrepair, brian991219 and 4 others Thank this. -
Foley is becoming like the dispatch service calls. I get that crap every day!
Run your own business or drive for someone else if you just want to drive.Opendeckin, Rideandrepair, brian991219 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well I guess you all have more or less confirmed my suspicions on those type of companies. Sounds like I will just keep doing it myself (not like it’s really that hard) and then I know it’s done right or at least what was done

If you feel you must pay someone else to do these things find a close trusted friend or family member to do it as an employee. At least you're not feeding the parasites that way.Rideandrepair and W923 Thank this. -
As a consultant myself I despise companies like Foley as they give those of us that are honest and reasonable a bad name. Any consultant that uses high pressure tactics and deception is bad news.
There are a few good companies (I'm not allowed to make recommendations if I want to stay active on this board) that can do this type of work for reasonable fees, but typically for a one truck operation is isn't worth the money to pay someone to do what you can do yourself.
The one recommendation I can make, if you want just a little assistance, is the Compliance Connection software OOIDA offers. I am not a big fan of them for most things, especially since we don't see eye to eye on towing or broker issues, however their compliance department and drug screening services are well run and very useful for single truck and small fleet operations.
That said, with just a little organization and research you can manage all your compliance needs yourself very easily.Rideandrepair and W923 Thank this. -
I use Trux from Little Rock ar to get my tags every year, just because I don’t want to go to Little Rock to do it.
Rideandrepair and W923 Thank this. -
Rideandrepair Thanks this.

NOT foley, they bug the heck out of me all the time, I let Trux Inc do it.Rideandrepair, Iamoverit and W923 Thank this.
