I'm curious if anyone else has had a problem where the FMCSA Clearinghouse doesn't find their CDL, so you can't get registered? I have entered all of the information properly. Unfortunately their procedure involves leaving a voicemail message or sending an email and waiting. Has anyone tried to contact them to correct this, and if so, how long does it take to hear back from them and what do they do to fix it? Until this is fixed, my job is on hold because I must be registered with FMCSA's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse to finalize my carrier's hiring process.
Please comment only if you've been through this situation or need more clarification and not to complain about having to do it in the first place! Those types of comments aren't helpful and don't solve the problem.
FMCSA Clearinghouse can't verify my CDL. It' not in the database.

Back about 25 years ago I had a dickens of a time getting what an entry clerk did fixed. She transposed the 02 in the middle of my SSAN into 20. I like to never found the problem. I'm serious, it was a banking situation and ALL my bank funds were being frozen. Sometimes it's the simple things that can bedevil us!

Thanks Moose1958. I will stop by DMV (always fun! LOL) and be sure everything is entered correctly. Also my carrier said that sometimes people who initially registered in January (I did) have had issues getting validated again and the only fix is to completely delete the FMCSA account and then wait 24 hours and re-register. I'll try both. Speaking of database issues, I had a problem in 2012 where someone stole my tax ID and filed a fraudulent 1040. It took 6 months to get my tax refund. I had to work with on of my US Senator's "constituent services department" to get things rolling. If nothing works with FMCSA I will do that again because no registration, no job. I'm a rehire so it's supposed to be a quick process and this is the only thing holding me up.

There is also a possibility, if you look hard enough you might find some type of customer service or technical support in regard to the clearinghouse. This is actually where I would start because such a person can actually look at what’s wrong and save you a whole Lotta time!

UPDATE: I logged back in and re-entered (for like the 6th time) all my CDL information. Miraculously, it worked! My theory is that the database was just offline last night at 4am when was trying to get validated. Instead of the system telling users that, it just barfed and rejected everything. Just a hunch. Anyway at 10am it worked without a hitch. (Or, possibly someone at the FMCSA saw my help request or listened to my voicemail, found the problem and fixed it without contacting me.) Anyway, in case anyone else has this issue trying to validate their CDL on the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, that's what worked for me.

not being in there is a good thing.
"What is Fmcsa clearinghouse enrollment?
The clearinghouse will be a secure online database that will allow FMCSA, CMV employers, State Driver Licensing Agencies, and law enforcement officials to identify – in real-time – CDL drivers who have violated federal drug and alcohol testing program requirements, and thereby improve safety on our nation's roads.Oct 1, 2019"
