    Hello All,

I am considering buying a few dump trucks in the South Florida area and putting them to work under a local broker, what type of could I be looking forward to? Hourly, By the yard, by the ton, I know this is relative as it depends on what you are hauling, but I am just looking for some honest feedback about the Florida dump truck hauling market.

    Thank you

Look at the shake and quality of the dump trucks working that area. If there was decent money to be made don't ya think one of those hundreds of operators might stick done of it back into his equipment?

Around here, last time I knew, it was tri or 4 axle preferred....85 per hour...4 hour minimum.

That's what it is round my state generally. Friend of mine has a few triaxles; went on vacation to Florida and started liking it. Considered moving there with his business til he came to understand triaxle rates there were $40-45 an hour..........

    Just saying

I did the math on it over here: triaxles in great shape specced right are 150k- used.

    Clapped out Junkers are $45k.

Not that I advocate it, but you can get a clapped out otr truck for $10-15k and average $85+ an hour pretty easily.

    Mattflat362 Thanks this.

Down here 45k buys 3, maybe 4 that are being used every day. You don't know what junk is till you come down to south florida. And the dot won't bother them, but if i got a license plate light out they are all over me.
