florida axle weight question

    Can you still be over 40,000 pounds on a tandem axle if Florida, as long as you aren't over their 41' bridge length law?

    According to the 2014 atlas its 44000 or tire rating whichever is less

    I run Florida quite a lot (against my will) and have never been bothered..

    *Usually* if you're under gross they wont' mess with you, I've come out a number of times over gross and not been bothered either..

    44k on a closed tandem in fla....if there is actually a 41'bridge law on the books(not rm take)its never enforced.....cant remember last time I slid my tandems&my mudflaps always sit jus behind my door brackets on my 53......but if your real worried...dependin how u come in&where ya going....real ez to go around....
    and as a side note....overgross in fla is only a nickle a pound
