I have driven more trucks with the brake pedal on the floor than those that hang down. I prefer the floor pedal as it gives me better control on the amount of pressure I can apply to the brake.
Wondering what everyone else prefers???
I am currently driving a Mack day cab and they have the suspended brake pedal. Since Macks are made by Volvo, I was also wondering which brake pedal style does Volvo use?![]()

the 630 I drove had it suspended

didn't care for the floor mounted brake pedal in the KW T600 or T660 that I have driven. Seems awkward since most brake pedals are suspended.

I prefer the floor mounted pedal. With all the bouncing, I get better control of the pedal with my heel on the floor.
TwinStickPeterbilt Thanks this. -
I prefer the floor pedal. When #### hits the fan its easier to stand on hahaha.

on the floor, in the air, makes no difference to me. and there's no difference in foot pressure. they all work the same.
long as it has a pedal is all i care.062 and TwinStickPeterbilt Thank this. -
The floor pedal is a pain in the butt when I'm wearing muddy boots or stepped on a hocker from some nasty driver.

Although that would be a cool souvenir if I lived through it.DoneYourWay Thanks this.
