Soon you will need to be put to sleep during a flight and it will be mandatory, if you can think it.

I blame the politicians, bureaucrats, and the airlines.

I never used to mind flying but in the last several years it is just a way to get where I am going.
As others have mentioned peoples sense of self entitlement is a problem.
My first flight, about one month ago, boarded around 10:00 a.m. Three people were at the gate waiting area drinking beer that the airport sells. Not that alcohol causes all the problems but between alcohol on the ground and continued drinking in the air it does not help. But profits come first.
I pay for the upgraded leg room because even on the short one hour flights my knees hurt from the seats being so close. I take Advil before I fly to help from hurting. Treatment of passengers from airline management cause frustrations.
Management makes these decisions that the line workers have to enforce. Management are safe behind a desk not dealing with the public.
Some days I feel like self loading freight that is just an inconvenience airlines put up with on the way to their CEO getting a bonus. One of these days the pre take off announcement will include in the event oxygen is needed swipe your credit card to get the oxygen flowing.
As far as the person who assaulted the flight attendant if they are found guilty they need to be put on the no fly list for all airlines, a large fine and a long jail sentence being put on a chain gang picking up trash. We need people to be accountable for their actions.jason6541 and gentleroger Thank this. -
When you get to the airport they can hang a color coded tag in those huge holes most people have in their ears now. They guys running the chutes will know where they are headed by the tag and they will just work them like they do livestock by opening and closing various gates and chutes, whistling, making kissing type noises and yelling "Yah! get on in there" Once they get a full pen, open the chute to the aircraft. Go with solid surfaces so they can all be hosed out after they are vacated.
Edit: They could also install head gates to restrain the humans while giving them the latest mandatory vaccine du jour.Last edited: Oct 29, 2021

There was simply no 100$ two way ticket.
What to go back to 70s ? Simply fly on first class fair! -
Back in the early 80s during the oil boom was working in Saudi Arabia and there was only one direct flight from Houston to Saudi Arabia with Air Pakistan and that was the worst ####### flight in the world the Saudi Arabians would get ripped drunk before they hit Saudi air space and then stewardesses would lock up the liquor and they had to turn into good Muslims at that point. Because of the Air Pakistan airplanes were all painted green all the oil guys referred to as flying on the green latrine.

2. First class does not exclude you from the TSA shake down.
3. First class does not exclude you from the wait on the tarmac.
4. First class does not mean you can smoke in the plane.
5. First class does not mean you can smoke anywhere on the airport property or even at all.
6. First class is not fun. It's just bigger seats and leg room.
Back in the day, we could do all of the above and it was fun and exciting.
No more. Flying is just a Grey Dog with wings and the terminals are on the same level.REO6205 Thanks this. -
My philosophy for travel: If i can't drive there in two days, i don't need to go.
