You didn't look @ a truck before hiring on?

You didn't discuss remuneration before hiring on?

How do you lose money being a company driver? You can make/earn less but you certainly don't lose it>unless it falls out of your pocket....

$1250 a week is good earnings>the average >the average truck driver earns 60% of that!

.33 cpm and the gross earnings you state you enjoyed doing that dedicated route are worlds apart...I'm having a little trouble wrapping my brain around the huge difference. How many miles were you having to run on the dedicated route you had, and did you have stop pay and other additional pay?

dedicated paid by the trip 130 per trip x2.. 260 per day. 1270 for 5days n 1 extra trip. or 1150 for 5 days.. lost the account and now all miles went to otr miles @.33 cpm.. average miles per week on 6 day week was 2600-2800.. do the math...is that worth it to u ?

That's a huge difference. I've been driving since '96, and most of my past employers have had dedicated routes and OTR positions. I've never seen such a big difference between the two within the same company.

    No, I wouldn't drive for .33 a mile. And I haven't since 2001.
