I'd like to upgrade the headlights on my truck. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and what you think of the upgrade.
I've heard some say LEDs are bright but they make no heat so their bad in the snow.
Some have said they use the LED for the high beams and they put the actual halogen high beams in the low beam position.
Wondering what kit you guys used and how it worked out for you

Better be carefull, next thing you know you’ll have 76 chicken lights on your Truck. Why waste the money? Originals available at Wal mart for $10. Xtra long hrs. and extra bright versions $15- $20. I use the old original sealed beams, Under $10 a piece.

I'm not sure which ones I have but I bought brand new lights and they're just not bright enough. Maybe I should try aiming them higher. I want to upgrade and be bright like the newer trucks are. Seems like I can't see as well as I would like to at night .Sometimes it pays to update.
Looks like I'm going to be at the yard over the weekend maybe I should try aiming of them higher. People are rarely flash at me when I have the high beams on.
Or you mean using the halogens actually where the fog lights are?Last edited: Feb 17, 2022

LED HEADLAMPS
TRUCK LITE LED HEADLAMPS FOR GEN 2 VOLVO VN
$749.95
TL-27620CA TL-27621CA
These have HIGH AND LOW Beams that are LED and the Parking/Driving lights are Halogens.
I got these first LED Projector Headlights for Volvo VNL they are all LEDs but they had problems in the winter freezing up. Also these are mounted with cheap clips that break off and are junk. After a year they will be shooting everywhere except where it is needed. Was a waste of money. If someone slammed the hood it would break the parts.Rideandrepair and Dino soar Thank this. -
Get some that are heated. Upgrading headlights is more than worth the money. You may have to modify the headlight bucket to get the wiring to fit behind the lights.
Or you could buy the projector lights that replace the bucket and all.Dino soar, Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this. -
JW SPEAKER brand with the heated lens.
