I was thinking about bringing my fishing pole with me after eyeballing some of those ponds next to the warehouses in Bolingbrook. Does anyone here do any fishing on the road? If so, what are some of the spots that are close to truck parking? I saw a pullout on 395 big enough for a truck next to the Walker River. That will be my contribution.

I thought about it. I actually should just haul around my worst Falcon rod being as we only get one shot at this life. Yet, I think you would have to get a fishing license in each state.

Also, be advised, in most states I'm aware of, you need a license even to catch and release.

walmart kmart and most any place that sells for the activity of fishing has the license and regulations. getting caught without a pass, out of season or knowing the rules such as catch and release, barbless hooks only, north of spanish rock to deer creek in said county etc could go south especially if you don't show up for a court date or take care of the ticket in some way.
I do it if I have the time with a 24 to 48 hr day license for that state. each state is a little different on the rules which could be located online. what will you do with the fish catch a few?

I will add some states now sale their fishing permits online ... and I've seen some big signs about fishing for truck drivers at the big cabin exit off I44 in Oklahoma at the.lake just south of the exit
Dominick253 and JC1971 Thank this.
