Yes I went and took my hazmat back on jan 5th 2010 passed now I was told I had to get fingerprints before it could be put on my license so I also done that the same day.
Now I was told it takes 3 weeks to get it in the mail, I waited never came, I called the L-1 Enrollment Service Division in Nashville TN, gave my Conformation number that I had recieved in the mail.
The girl I spoke with said it was clear and my state should have it and I did not have to waite for it to come in the mail, I went to motor vehicle here in nj on jan 28 2010 waited went up to the desk girl their said they did not get it yet and it takes 45 day wow.
also I was told can not have a laminated s.s. card so I need to Get a new one before I go Back to motor vehicle I been checking my mail every day waiting for it to come todad is feb 4 2010
Just wanted to know has anyone waited this long.

Now, I got my letter and at the same time the DMV got one, but I had to go there in person and get the endorsement put on after i was approved. it's not automatic atleast here in michigan.

Have you called the TSA hotline and asked about it?

    Mine only took two weeks

Are you a terrorist? Maybe thats why.

Your SS card says right on it that it cannot be laminated. You also arent supposed to carry it. If you dont carry it it dont get damaged though.

When I was getting mine. It took a while as well. If your paperwork is not in order they will send you a note declaring you a "threat to national security" till they get all the paperwork. LOL silly birth certificate. Once they have all of it will the "threat" be removed, and you are granted clearance.

Grin, the sherrif station I went to said he loves having truck drivers for fingerprinting. Seems we are not so much of a challenge.

Thats our genious govco for ya. Just like log books....go home, log of duty...work in the yard all day, go to the race track for the night, stay up and watch TV, then get back in your rig after being off duty 24hrs and your legal....makes sense right...BTW if I was a terrorist, would I get my haz-mat, much less a cdl..or hi-jack a truck. Our gov at its best, seperating hard working, law abiding citizens from our money.....

Just thought I would update everyone I called Trenton nj motor vehicle again they said I was clear told me I don't have to wait for the letter and to go back to motor vehicle in my town and they gave me a direct number and told me to have them call their.
Now I went back and they did not make me wait on any line and Just had me pay for my hazmat and go up to the desk to get receipt showing I took the test last month and then they pulled me up in their computer and finally I have my hazmat :biggrin_25519:

Sometimes there are bumps in the road. Often times it is because something is stuck in a pile waiting for some data entry clerk to enter it. Having worked in an office I know how many times that happens along with other stupid things.
One office I worked at... this guy would take a piece of paper that he was suppose to enter the information and fold it up to use as a coaster for is coffee...
Seriously.... We were all frantic one day looking for this very important billing statement... found it under his darn cup by accident when someone spilled his coffee looking thru a stack of billing statements... LOL
