there is a good chance I will be going into the profession after my trucking school ends. Are there any companies that are female friendly and NOT sexist?

They all are female friendly. You are treated like a trk driver, your sex is not an issue. But don't come into this industry as a shy timid little girl. You'll be ecspected to do everything a man can do concerning trucking.I'm a female and never have had any problems finding a female friendly company.I drove for 9 yrs as a solo otr driver. Now im a local driver and the only female with 24 guys.

The companies may not be sexist but most of the OTR drivers are. Carry a club!

The minute you speak on the CB you will have at least 5 thirsty drivers asking for your carrier/color of your truck, and mile marker where you are at, other than that you are expected to perform the same job as the males. If I was to say there is a sexist company I would say maybe a small local construction/heavy haul/flatbed company but its 2013 so I doubt it. Good luck!!

Wow, that's not really fair, I think that there are quite a few of us that are not sexist...really not good to throw everyone under the bus.
