Felonies must be 5 years old. No sex felonies ever!! Sharkey Transporation will give you a second chance. As long as your felony is over 5 years old. If your a sex offender, you don't deserve a second chance.

Wo so many folks are in this thread bashing people with felonies talking about all felons are scum bags. Sorry but felons are in the same boat as you they will die not long from now and all memory of them will be gone within a century or two JUST LIKE YOU. Trying to make it hard for People to get a job as a truck driver and give them demotivating advice and discourage them because you don't want your image as a mighty trucker to be tarnished by having people with bad history working in your field. You are a ####### driver no one is going to think highly of you anyways. I'm not saying murderers and rapist should drive trucks but some people are given felonies over some pretty minimal ######## and they are good people and safe drivers that might even have your back on the road and you try to drag them down online because you think all people that were given a "felony" are scumbags. Such ignorance its jut interesting to me how some people really live in their own world.

 

I hate responses like this. The thread question was posted nicely and should get the same type of responses. We as humans need to stop bashing one another as we have all done wrong. Everyone should be able to work especially after they have done their time. Good day

 

If you were 18 and your girlfriend 17 and got arrested for it you deserve no second chances? Not all sex offenses are equal.

Depends on the age of consent in the particular state; could be from 16-18. Each state determines it.

 

I love hearing people say that companies wont hire felons lmao. I been driving for 10 years and got several felonys back in 99. Ive worked for Averitt express knight transportation Paschall Truck lines Dallas and Mavis specialized carriers Arrow trucking (dont laugh) You just have to know who to apply for and yes as crappy as it is to lie but lie about that crap. ive only gotten one job being honest and that was with arrow trucking. All the rest say they checked my background but uh no. they coudlnt have. my dac report is lke 98 pages long for some reason. Paschall and Knight will hire anyone. People say swift and werner will but they wont. i know from experience knight and paschall WILL hire you if you apply. Just lie. i know i will get trashed or saying to lie but unless you want to work for minimum wage the rest of your life do what you have to LEGALLY do. For the record in my humble opinion if one of the 2 companies hire you that i mentioned get your year or 2 and get out. you will make more money with the mom and pop companies and see home more. Just a convicted felons 2 cents.
