I am interested in becoming an independent contractor with fedex ground. I have my own tractor and meets there requirements on their website. I know they haul doubles which i have some experience with. I was wondering how many miles do yall who work for them/have worked for them get in an average week? How much do they pay per mile? Do i supply the trailers? Thanks.
Fedex ground?

I have a friend that worked there. They ran the $hy!t out of him. (over 4k) He said he had to keep playing comic book. They might have electronic these days. I'm sure they will run you 600 plus per day as well as any other ltl outfit that has road runners

A contractor's pay is based on numerous factors at Ground. You get paid differently if you run solo or team. You get paid differently for years of service. You get paid differently for safety. There is no set pay for contractors we have nine trucks currently at ground and almost every one of them are at a different rate. I would not recommend coming to FedEx Ground and running solo. I would start out running teams. You will be on the extra board and they offer runs based off of truck points. Truck points are gained by years of service with the tractors slot. So solo you might only run 2-3 days a week and that is it during non peak times. Now with teams you take a load going long you run all week long.

Don't think they pay that well but I hear they get a break on the fuel. It balances it out some.
