The way I had it figured if you run 5500 miles a week you could do around 9k gross to the truck
-
Also .39 is horrible for teams I know for.a fact you can go.work for.a.contractor at fedex on a dedicated run all drop and hook and do 50 cpm most pay 55
-
1.) How?
2.) That is assuming a best case scenario it would seem. It's been my experience that is never the case. -
You do not have to buy a run at fedex you can come in on unassigned runs which a lot of times get more miles and you won't have the cost of buying out a contractors run and after time you can bid on a dedicated off the point aystem
-
If you have 1.31 base plus .05 for dfw plus .33 fsc is 1.69 mile times 5500 miles is 9250 and I work for a contractor now and fedex has miles and is consistent with them especially with a dedicated it is guaranteed fedex will keep teams moving
-
And fuel at the terminal is really cheap I filled up the truck today in Columbus Ohio for 1.74 a gallon
-
I think .39 a mile for a team is robbery at Schneider if you want to come to Columbus Ohio I can get you a job tommarow for .55 a mile running 5800 miles a week dedicated
-
Ohio....ew, no thanks! (Native Michgander here
)
The way I hear it though, if you are unassigned, you can have garbage runs or no runs in a week due to points. The recruiter told me it can take years to get on a dedicated route.
We also have to wait 4 more months to have 1 yr experience.
My wife's and my biggest question mark is getting a truck too. Lease or nuy? New or used? -
I have went with new recently and been happy as far as it goes, been pretty reliable and good on fuel, just have to be able to stomach the payment is all.
