Fatality accident involving PAM Transport truck on I-40 west of Asheville, NC

Title is just what it says. No news articles yet. Rolled by the accident 2 hours ago and it had just happened maybe a minute prior. Looked like a pretty gruesome wreck. Won’t go into details of what I saw but the driver of an SUV didn’t make it.

WB lanes shut down at MM 40 and traffic is being detoured onto US-19/23. I would run 26 to 81 and over if you need to get through there.

Sounds like the guy who was driving that Hyundai and was found dead at the scene was probably trying to weave his way through another car and that PAM truck way too fast or something. Whatever it was it was a pretty bad wreck, and i had the unfortunate sight of seeing a dead person that made a poor decision that cost him his life

Like i said the wreck looked like it just happened when i rolled by eastbound. I guess this is the type of stuff you see out here. Very eye opening for sure

 

i’ve seen plenty of wrecks but this is the first time where i’ve just come across one and there’s still blood and stuff all over the highway. Yesterday i saw was was left of a deer all over the road when an SUV obliterated it, and the SUV that caused it
